An Introduction
Some of you may already know me as Libby or "The Libertine" and this site had a different format that hadn't been updated for some time. I've finally gotten my lazy ass together and turned this into a real blog, with regular updates and all. After all, I've got a lot going on in my life now so I thought I'd share it all with you.
But first, let me re-introduce myself...
I've somewhat of a veteran sex worker at this point, having worked in the sex industry for almost ten years now. I started out in my early twenties as a professional dominatrix, later worked as an escort and madam, and have now been dabbling in the porn industry shooting, directing, and casting porn, as well as working as a crew member on other people's porn. I also freelance in the film industry. I'm an active member of Sex Worker's Outreach Project (SWOP)-Chicago and the Desiree Alliance. So for me, sex work isn't just something I dabble in to supplement my income...it's a lifestyle choice.
For several year, working in the sex industry was a lonely life and I rarely had allies that I could be open with about what i did. These days, things have changed and I have a fairly large network of sisters that work in the industry and are active in changing the way sex workers are perceived by the public. I'm hoping this blog can contribute a little bit more to that goal.
I am not Pretty Woman. I am not a drug addict. I do not have a pimp or any man that tells me what to do. I am not working in the sex industry because I have no choice. I do it because I love it.

wow, it's really good to hear about a WOMAN working in the sex industry, moreso from someone who enjoys their work.
